If you don't have a clear vision
or if you're feeling disconnected from it
and you're not feeling fulfilled by what you're doing,
it's gonna be really hard for you to wake up
with that clarity of mind and the motivation
to be the leader that you need to be.
(upbeat music)
Hello, Bold CEOs.
Welcome to the land of the Bold and Free.
My name is Megan Taylor and I'm your podcast host.
This is a podcast for entrepreneurs
who are growing businesses that change the world
for the better and you know that change in the world
starts with being in your fullest potential and power.
I'm a former corporate manager, turned CEO
and I left corporate because I knew in my soul
that I wanted to make a bigger impact
and to live a life of deep freedom.
And now I help my clients do the same.
I'm a business strategist and a personal development mentor
for six and seven figure brands
and I'm here to teach you a little bit more each week
about how to master the soul, the strategy
and the support needs of your business
so that you can experience sustainable success and wealth.
I'm also excited to host my sexy successful friends on here
to get you excited and lit up to take bold risk
and claim a life and business of your design.
So with that, let's get started.
- Hi guys, welcome to episode two.
So I'm here to sit down with you almost as if
we were just sitting together over coffee
and we're gonna do a deep dive audit of your business.
Sounds really sexy, right?
But trust me, it's sexy when you are making more money
when you have a sound business foundation
that you can build and grow off of
and to have a true business that you can scale.
Throughout this podcast, I'm here to teach you
how to master the soul, the strategy
and the support needs of your business
so that you can scale and in a way that's sustainable for you.
I can't tell you how many entrepreneurs
that I talk to who are secretly feeling overwhelmed
and are struggling with burnout behind the scenes.
And I'm just not here for that, I'm here for your success.
And I really am here for you to be in deep enjoyment
and fulfillment of your experience of being a business owner
of being an entrepreneur.
I think business, it's like let's make business fun again,
you guys.
And so hell yeah, we're gonna make an audit sexy
and I'm gonna be asking you four questions today
to help you get real about where you really stand
with your business and what you need to do
to tighten up your business foundations
so that you can scale.
So let's go ahead and dive right in.
So question number one is on a scale of one to 10,
how fulfilled do you feel in your business?
On a scale of one to 10, how fulfilled do you feel
in your business?
Where one is like, oh my gosh, I'm so anxious,
I wanna crawl into a hole, I'm waking up
and I'm dragging my feet and I know there's things
that I need to be doing to move the needle forward
in my business and I'm just not doing them
and I'm not even sure I know why,
but it's just not happening.
And I'm thinking about like this question
of whether I'm even cut out for entrepreneurship, okay?
And a 10 is like, I feel on fire.
I am so connected to my vision, I'm excited about what I'm building
and I wake up every day and I know exactly what to focus on
and I feel lit up and turned on by what I'm building
and I feel internally motivated to wake up
and put one foot in front of the other every day
to continue building this empire
and expanding my impact and my income, okay?
So whatever that number is, it's perfect.
Just don't over think it, come up with a number, boom,
that's the number.
And then from there, we're gonna work together
to incrementally improve and increase that number for you
because as the leader of your business, as the CEO,
you are the leader, you are the visionary,
you are the one who is looking ahead
to what you're creating with your business
and if you don't have a clear vision
or if you're feeling disconnected from it
and you're not feeling fulfilled by what you're doing,
it's gonna be really hard for you to wake up
with that clarity of mind and the motivation
to be the leader that you need to be for your team
and for your clients or customers, okay?
So your fulfillment matters, your fulfillment matters.
So let's just make that known.
All right, so that's question number one.
Question number two is about the soul of your business
and there's many different aspects of the soul
of your business, but the one I wanna look at today is
what is the impact or the legacy that you're here
to leave through your business?
What is the impact or the legacy that you're here to leave
through your business?
Oftentimes what I find is that when entrepreneurs
are feeling burnt out or overwhelmed
and that fulfillment number is low,
it's oftentimes because they are at some level
disconnected from the soul of their business.
Now when I'm talking about the soul,
I know it can sound kind of woo,
but here's what I really mean.
People don't just buy what you do,
they buy who you are and how you make them feel
and your business is here to solve a problem
through your products or services.
Now that's what the market does through supply and demand
and so you're here to solve a problem, yes.
Well, what is the underlying impact and legacy
that you're here to leave through the way that you do that?
Okay, so as an example, I am a business strategist
and a personal development mentor
for entrepreneurs who are scaling their businesses
to six and seven figures and beyond
and the way that I do that is by helping them step
into the role of CEO, how to structure their businesses
to be able to scale and how to hire and manage a team.
That's what I do, but what am I really selling?
Well, I'm selling financial freedom,
I'm selling time freedom and I'm also fundamentally selling power.
I'm selling confidence.
So the soul of my business is all about freedom,
power and confidence.
And so as I go about running my business
and in my marketing and in my branding,
as I am embodying my brand,
I talk about brand embodiment a lot with my clients.
We need to walk our talk.
And so the way that I go about connecting to this whole
of my business is by being in my own confidence,
being in my own power and looking at anything
that is blocking me from claiming my own sense of freedom.
That's the soul of the business.
It's the feeling, it's what I cause my clients to feel.
When I meet with my clients when we're done working together,
it's like I watch their shoulders drop an entire inch
and their faces start glowing because when they find their power,
they find their confidence, they find their well-being.
And it's all about infusing that way of walking in my business
in everything that I do.
That's the soul of my business.
When I connect to my own personal power and my confidence,
that's me walking my talk and then I can sell power and confidence
and the strategies for achieving that include leadership,
include how to structure your business,
how to structure your offers, how to monetize your shit,
how to monetize your gifts.
And that is the underlying, that is the how,
but we have to go back to the why to the soul of the business
in order to really connect to people at a feeling-based level
because a lot of buyers, especially women,
tend to buy based on feeling as well as logic.
So that's how I do my business.
But then additionally, why help people with their confidence,
why help entrepreneurs be in their personal power?
Well, I believe that we need more empowered leaders
in the world to help us solve for difficult world problems,
to help be the leaders that can help shine the way
for new ways of being in the world
for leaders who can create positive company cultures
that have a positive rippling impact for their employees
and their contractors and to continue to create more jobs.
And because I simply just want to help empower people
to claim their capacity for building wealth
and freedom for themselves and for their families,
I still believe in the American dream.
I love capitalism and I love being an entrepreneur
and I want to help other entrepreneurs
be able to succeed in that way.
So this is my underlying soul of my business.
You see, it's deeper than business strategy
and personal development.
It's about empowerment and confidence
and it's about the rippling impact that I'm able to make
when I empower people that are here to make a rippling impact,
does that make sense?
That is the soul of my business, that is my why.
And it's what helps motivate me to get up every single day
to do the dang thing, to record the podcast,
to do the Instagram reel, to email my email list,
to do another strategy session with a new client.
It is because I get to practice the joy of being in my own power
and my own confidence while also having a rippling impact
by empowering other leaders to do the same for themselves,
for their businesses, for their families,
for their clients and for their employees.
So that's what drives me, that is the soul of my business.
(upbeat music)
Hi, entrepreneurs, a quick pause on the podcast
so I can ask you a few questions.
Have you been seeking to grow your business
but you've been hitting your head up against this income ceiling?
And maybe you show up on social media
as if you're confident,
but secretly behind the scenes,
you're feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed,
and a little shaky on your vision for your business.
Okay, so if that's you, I want you to go over to the show notes
and take a look.
There's a few different ways for working with me right now.
This is for you if you are the entrepreneur who knows
that your next level of impact and income
is really about embodying that true CEO role with confidence
and really setting the strategy and the business foundations
of a true business.
So when we work together, we work on gaining clarity
on what is your vision for your business
and really setting the strategy for growth
and getting clear on what are you going to focus on right now?
We're gonna nail your product suite,
we're going to upgrade your pricing,
if that's what we need to do.
And this is about calling in that next level of client.
So if this is sparking your interest,
I love doing this work.
I actually am opening a handful of single sessions.
These are single strategy sessions
where we hop on zoom together
and these are for new clients only.
I also have one VIP mentorship that is for three months
and it is just so, so powerful you guys.
You will never be the same after doing this mentorship
because we do the inner work
and we also focus on the business strategy
and so your life and your business change as a whole.
So if that sounds like you go over to the show notes
and you'll see how to get in touch with me
and how to start the conversation.
All right, back to the episode.
Connecting to the soul of your business
is about connecting to your deeper purpose
and why it all matters.
And if you can take the time to do that,
if you need to go for a walk,
you know, get back into your meditation practice,
whatever it is to reconnect to
why it is that you do what you do.
You're going to be light here years ahead of others
because you're going to be able to wake up
with that internal motivation to do the things
that you need to do to feel internally aligned to your mission,
to be able to make decisions from a place of clarity
and also to just continue to drive up
those fulfillment numbers for yourself.
And when you get clear on that,
you're also going to be able to use that
underlying soul connection to infuse a lot of your purpose
into your marketing.
And this is what allows you to draw in clients
who are perfect fit for you
because they get why your business exists,
they get why you're doing what you're doing.
Okay?
So that was question number two is
what is the soul of your business?
What is the impact and the legacy that you're here to leave?
All right, question number three is
what is your strategy for growth?
So your strategy for growth is really simple.
It just comes down to being the fucking best at what you do
whatever it is, creating the most luxury client experience
and making it unbelievably easy and enjoyable
for your clients, your customers to get the results
that they're desiring.
So when I'm talking about luxury,
you know, I'm not just talking about expensive or wealthy,
I'm talking about luxury in the terms
of what your ideal client wants.
So luxury for some people can mean I want it fast.
Luxury for other people can mean I want it customizable.
I want to be able to do it my way.
Luxury for other people can mean I want to feel like you care
about me.
So a part of your strategy is just getting really in tune
into what is your ideal client really want?
And then fine tuning your designed client experience
to deliver just that and then doing it
in the most efficient way possible
so that you can do it with less resources.
And we do that through the design of the tech
that you're using, your process flows,
your policies, all of this can help create a stronger
more cohesive client experience.
Then the strategy becomes about how do you then scale
that solution?
How do we serve even more people?
How can we intake more volume into the business?
So it really depends on what industry you're in
but I'll give you some examples.
So with the coaching consulting industry, for example,
I can only do so many one-on-one consultations
or strategy calls in a day.
But if I want to scale and serve more clients,
then I can launch a scaled group program,
which is what I did with the bold CEO.
So that allows me to be able to serve upwards of 20 clients
in the same time frame that I could serve one client.
In the cleaning industry, for example,
you can only clean so many houses in a day
and so the way that we scale that is by hiring employees
and getting them trained up on how to clean,
how to maintain proper quality in the cleaning process
but also how to do customer service in a high quality way.
Then we can build out crews or teams of people
to be able to cover different neighborhoods
and you can even actually franchise that model.
So it really depends on what industry you're in
but the end game is how do you be the fucking bastard
what you do and then how do you serve more people
and how do you drive operational efficiency
into how you deliver on that experience.
So that is question number three is what is your strategy
for growth and scaling?
And then question number four is do you have your dream team?
So the more that you grow in scale,
the more that there is to do usually
and the more that you grow,
the more that you want to really refine and hone in
on mastering the various areas of your business.
You know when you first start your business,
a lot of people kind of Frankenstein and McGiver
their business together and they're like,
oh my god, I wonder if this is gonna work.
And then when it does, you're like, holy shit.
Then as you grow, like you just have so much to do
and sometimes there's some catch up
and I want you to know every single business
from small to Fortune 500 has some dirty laundry going on.
There are, you know, invoices that have not been collected
on there are bills that are unpaid.
There is some sort of a certification or an insurance
that you need, trademarking, rebranding that website.
There's always something that as you grow
kind of takes the back burner.
And when it comes to hiring your dream team,
it's really about staying in your zone of genius
as the CEO of your company, you know,
doing what you do best that allows you
to continue to lead the vision of your company
while also doing the things that really, you know,
bring in the bacon for the business,
whether that is maybe you're amazing at sales
or maybe you're amazing at client care.
Then your role is to do that really well
and then surround yourself with other people
who can be in their zones of genius
and support you with the aspects that maybe you're not
as proficient at or you're not as excited about
or that take you a long time to do or learn.
Time is money and that's for real.
And so I really want for you to have a dream team
that you can count on.
Maybe you have a rockin' team,
but you have maybe just been so busy
that you haven't really been able to give them
what they need in order to succeed.
So it can be about, you know, organizing your task list
so that you can actually delegate things
or getting processes documented
so that you can train your team
or maybe getting your team the right equipment
if they are employees than you're responsible for that.
So wherever you are, I just want you to make note
of, you know, do you have your dream team?
Do you have the support that you need
in order to continue to grow and to feel supported?
And if not, what are the steps that you need
in order to course correct that?
All right?
So those are your four questions for your sexy audit today.
I'm gonna repeat them for you so that you can write them down
and reflect on them further on your own time.
Question number one is on a scale of one to 10,
how deeply fulfilled do you feel with your business?
Question number two is what is the impact
and the legacy that you're here to leave through your company?
Question number three is what is your strategy
for growth and scaling?
And question number four is, do you have your dream team?
And if not, what steps do you need to take
in order to course correct that?
Okay?
So I know that that's kind of a lot,
but you know, when I work with my clients one-on-one,
one of the things that we do is every single week,
we make a CEO priority list of the things
that are top priority for this week.
'Cause there's always more work
than you could possibly get accomplished.
So, as the CEO, a big part of that self-leadership piece
is about getting clear on what the priorities are.
And this week, these four questions
are the things to prioritize.
Take a look at what you need to deprioritize
so that you can make room for these things.
Because if you don't have a sense of fulfillment
in your business, if you don't have clarity on your vision,
if you don't have a strategy for growth
and you don't have a team you can count on,
you are really gonna be struggling, my friend.
And I'm not here for that.
I'm here for your success, your fulfillment
and to help you expand your business
so you can make the impact you're here to make.
So, you know, do what you gotta do
to carve off some time for yourself
and answer these questions.
And if you want further support,
you could reach out to me on Instagram at MeganWTaylor
